Time to Rob

Vanja Saw them live, they caught my attention (especially the talented guitar work and the charismatic lead singer) so I came here looking for a release. I found a great blues rock record, but with a modern edge and laced with some funky elements. A welcome fresh breeze in a genre saturated by geezers pulling the same old tricks. Favorite track: Break Of The Day.

about

Here is the album that is conceptually, in terms of production, divided into two parts, two entities representing the band’s recordings during 2017 and 2018. The first part brings five songs recorded in the Dark Horse studio in Nashville rural and wooded area of Tennessee, USA. Far away from home, and yet, somehow just like home. The remaining four songs were recorded at the Cinema of a small town of Sv. Filip i Jakov. Making the improvised conditions by building the sound recording partitions made of wood and plexiglas, the producer and recorder Predrag Ćosić and members of the band literally hunted the sound. That’s how "Time to Rob" was created.
Firstly, it was recorded practically without overwriting, live, with all members at the same time, with exception of a few back vocals. For the purpose of symbolism, sound and of course the surroundings of the band members at that time, the journey of the album "Time to Rob" will be stretched from the rural Tennessee back to the stage at Sv. Filip i Jakov. In both cases, performance of the songbook emerged from rehearsals or live jams - the materials undersigned by all band members.
